Janet studied English at the University of Missouri-Columbia and worked for the Columbia Daily Tribune and the San Francisco Chronicle. She trained in Cecchetti, pointe, pas de deux, jazz, modern and tap and performed in her local dance company before attending college. She resides in Marin with her family and two cats.
