Marin Dance Theatre's Summer Dance 2010
What makes MDT a unique training center? Why choose our summer program? Unlike many summer intensives, where many dancers are accepted and classes are large, individual attention is difficult. Recognizing how important this training time is for serious students, we choose to keep classes smaller, thus offering more individual attention and focus for more personalized training and coaching. This has been the strength and success of our year-round training program, which truly makes MDT a school unlike any other. Our summer program allows us to invest time and care in each of our students.

SUMMER CURRICULUM INCLUDES:
Ballet Technique, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Character, Repertoire Classes, Pas de Deux, Rehearsals, Pilates and Dance Conditioning.

Margaret Swarthout, Artistic Director, MDT; Lynn Cox, School Director; Vicki-Marie Bassing, Assistant School Director; Erica Allen, Ballet & Director of Operations; Jo Ellen Arntz, Company Manager for Smuin Ballet; Erin Derstine, Contemporary & Jazz; Brigid Hoag. Ballet; Erica Rose Jeffrey, Ballet; Michelle Parodi, Intro, Pre-Ballet; Dawn Perrin, Ballet; Humberto Gonzalez-Toledo, former dancer/choreographer with the Cuban National Ballet. (Please note: Each student may not have every faculty member listed)

To obtain an application, please call (415) 499-8891 or e-mail us at info@mdt.org. A registration packet can be downloaded online at www.mdt.org. Click on the SummerDance 2010 button on the home page. At the SummerDance page scroll down to the Download SummerDance 2010 Registration Packet. Complete the forms and mail them to: Marin Dance Theatre, One St. Vincent Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903. Dancers unable to attend an audition class at MDT, may send a recent photo and DVD showing center work and pointe. Since it is our policy to limit the class size for more individual attention, we encourage you to get your application in as soon as possible. Housing is available in private homes with Marin Dance Theatre families. SummerDance 2010 will conclude with an exciting theatre performance on August 7th at the Spreckles Performing Arts Center, Rohnert Park, CA.
